ApRo Music was started by Brian Appleby and Scott Rogal, both teachers with many years of experience teaching beginners and young bands.
We began producing these materials around 1989, not to form a publishing company, but rather to produce educational tools for our own students that could also provide worthwhile musical experiences.
Brian Appleby taught at Westminster Junior High School in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada for 33 years. He retired from Westminster in June, 2004, then taught with Scott in Hong Kong from January to June, 2005.
Scott Rogal has taught in Swift Current in Saskatchewan, and in Sherwood Park and Edmonton in Alberta. He is currently running a large band program at the International Middle School in Hong Kong .
Brian and Scott continue to collaborate over the Internet.
