Embarcation

Embarcation is a b lend of "classical" and "pop" sounds. It features short assignable solos that allow the director to assign solos to various sections or combinations of players. This allows bands to "customize" the arrangement to their strengths.

The piece requires three competent percussionists on timpani/tambourine, snare drum/cowbell, and drum set. The drum set part is clearly and completely notated, and stresses four-way coordination.
