Expedition

Expedition is a concert or festival piece for first year bands. It was on the Alberta Grade 1 festival list for several years.
All the notes and rhythms are well within the grasp of first year players.
Much of the piece is written in a solo / tutti style, with one section stating a theme, and the full band responding.
As in all our young band pieces, every section has important melodic material to play.
